In the Pentaho BI server version 3.0 and later you can deploy plug-ins.
This allows the plugin to define file types, e.g. a GeoBI XML file - my_map.xgeo, and content renderers for your Dashboards and MapOL JSPs. The plugin can also have its own JARs.
This makes the deployment and configuration of the GeoBI functionality very easy - just unzip the plugin into pentaho-solutions/system.
Hello James, thank you for your feedback! We started GeoReport testing on Pentaho 2 and Pentaho 3, so your advice is very useful! Yes, we are interested in trying this. Did you try our solution? Could you give us your help on GeoReport-Pentaho 3 deployment? Thank you very much!
